Château Rhianfa Wedding Photographer – A Relaxed North Wales Wedding

Château Rhianfa doesn’t really feel like a typical North Wales wedding venue.

It’s got more of that destination feel to it — set right on the Menai Strait, with views out towards Snowdonia, and just a bit of a different atmosphere to most places around here. It’s one of those venues where everything feels a little more relaxed, a little less rushed.

This was one of those weddings where the day just flowed.

Nothing over-structured, nothing forced — just people enjoying being there, taking it all in, and everything naturally falling into place. The kind of day where you don’t really need to interfere much as a photographer, just keep an eye on what’s happening and let it unfold.

If you’re planning a wedding at Château Rhianfa and you want photography that feels natural and unposed, this should give you a good idea of how the day can look.

Getting Ready at Château Rhianfa

The morning was calm, with everything happening in one place, which always makes a difference.

No rushing around or jumping in cars — just a steady build-up to the day, a few nerves, a lot of excitement, and plenty of space to actually enjoy it.

That’s one of the best things about Château Rhianfa — everything’s right there, so the whole day feels a bit more connected.

The Ceremony at Château Rhianfa

The ceremony space here is something else.

With the light coming in and the views just outside, it’s one of those settings where you don’t need to do much — it already feels special without trying too hard.

The ceremony itself was simple and genuine. No big performance, just a real moment between two people, which is always what matters most.

Couple Portraits Around the Grounds

We kept this part short and relaxed.

No long photoshoots or disappearing for ages — just a walk around the grounds, a bit of space to take it all in, and a few natural moments together.

With a venue like Château Rhianfa, you don’t have to go far to find a good backdrop, which makes it easy to keep things feeling natural and unforced.

The Reception & Evening

Once everything got going, it had a great atmosphere.

People outside enjoying the views, drinks flowing, and then straight into an evening that felt more like a proper celebration than a schedule to follow.

No overcomplicated timeline — just a good day, with good people, exactly how it should be.

Planning a Château Rhianfa Wedding

If you’re getting married at Château Rhianfa and you like the idea of photography that feels relaxed and real, that’s pretty much how I approach every wedding.

Nothing staged, nothing that takes you away from the day — just documenting it as it actually felt.

For this wedding I had some fantastic feedback from Astrid : “Great experience with Markus he was really motivating, knew all the best places and lighting to get the best shots and was very engaged with all out wedding guests . The photos we have received have been amazing I would highly recommend him”
