Highfield Hall - Northop

Im lucky enough to have Highfield Hall as a regular wedding venue to shoot at. This venue benefits from that lovely light and airy look inside and outside it from the lovely gardens, pagoda and rear where there is a great barn feel to the photos.

Come rain or shine this venue is perfect, there are ways to work around the weather here and thats awesome news for you if the wedding is during the colder months of the year. However whatever the date, there are some points I would love to share about photographing you both at this venue.

Heres a small list of spots for your photos I love the most :

The bridal Suite : This is a large open prep area. Here we can get well lit photos of you getting your dress on as well as some detail shots such as the flowers, shoes and rings. Of course i also love to capture the fun and important moments for you in the lead up to the wedding. The bridal suit at Highfield Hall also has a lovely view of the pagoda outside, a cool bath tub and a stunning 4 post bed. The light and airy vibe makes photos come out so soft and light, this is great for your gallery and also perhaps for a first look shot.

The Stairs - This spot is great for a first looks too, but also a walk down to the ceremony. If we have time i also like to take couples here for a flash photo in the evening, especially nice if the weather isn’t great.

The Pagoda - This is the gem of the venue in my opinion. Both natural lit and flash photos always come out so nice here and as a bonus also makes a great backdrop for confetti and group photos !

The Rear Barn Area - I like to take couples here because it mixes up the vibe a little and adds some texture and contrast to the more light and airy spots around the front. It’s also nice to get some peace away for a moment and I find couples really enjoy this quiet patch to gather thoughts, enjoy the moment and to reset for the evening reception.

The Front Fountain Area - The fountain works and wow I think these shots out the front with the reflections are just gorgeous. The photos here tend to show off the venue behind as well, giving your photos a nice context in the moment. I also notice wedding guests really enjoy watching you both having some time together on your day, sometimes ill get some photos of this too ! I love candid and natural photos !
